The second annual Outside Festival and Summit saw 35,000 people gathering in Denver’s Civic Center Park for a weekend of events, concerts, workshops, and classes inspired by active lifestyles, wellness, and, of course, the outdoors.
“This year’s Outside Festival and Summit proves that we’re building something much bigger than an event,” said Robin Thurston, CEO of Outside Interactive, Yoga Journal‘s parent company. “We’re fostering deeper connections and bringing the outdoor community together.”
For yogis in attendance, this translated to an al fresco flow.

Led by Core Power Yoga, the classes brought spirit, great music, and lively instruction to a varied population of kids and adults, beginners and advanced practitioners alike. The classes featured standing flows, which were a great match for the relaxed, grassy venue.
“The audiences were packed,” said Mary-Frances Heck, VP/GM, Outside Media & Business Growth. “The classes really brought this unique energy to a music festival vibe that was also super grounded and chill.”

For those not busy breathing through their practice, the Outside Summit featured a national startup pitch competition, a panel of 46 powerful speakers, gear vendors, film screenings, and live music from the likes of Khruangbin, Neal Francis, and Sylvan Esso.
