The death of the veteran actress has left the world in a deep shock. The cause of her death is yet to be confirmed, while there have been speculations that claim that she died of a cardiac arrest, prompted by anti-ageing treatments.

The actress and the Nach Baliye fame was, 42-year-old and had reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest late in the evening of 27 June and was then rushed to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital in Andheri by her husband, Parag Tyagi. She was declared dead on the spot post her arrival at the hospital.

The reason for her death is still not clear, while there have been a lot of speculations regarding the same, yet, the cause of her sudden death has has seen latent developments which have put the curtain off a possible link between her long-term anti-ageing treatments and the unexpected cardiac arrest that cost her so immensely.

According to one of her friends, Pooja Ghai confirms IV was administered on the same day. In one of the interviews with Vickey Lalwani, who is Shefali’s close friend and actor Pooja Ghai, it was reportedly revealed that Shefali had taken a vitamin C IV drip on the day of her passing.

“On that day, she did take the drip, the vitamin C. But like I said, it’s a very normal thing to take vitamin C. I mean, we all take vitamin C, right? I think post-COVID people have just started taking vitamin C as regularly as possible,” she said, adding that she, too, has taken such drips before. In the same interview, it was also revealed that police officers who were present at Shefali’s residence took the careful step of summoning the person who was reported administered the IV drip.

Her friend has revealed that the police could be seen calling for the person who gave her the IV drip to check what medicine she was taking, and that’s exactly when she got to know that she had been given an IV drip,” for quite a long time.

Seeing people administering this kind of anti-ageing injections is not a once-in-a-blue-moon sight; almost every other person in the industry has used some or the other kind of such treatments. Supplementing the opinion, she said, it is so common that one can see them here at an expense in Dubai.

As per the reports, the police have been informed that Jariwala had been taking these anti-ageing infusions and other medications that included glutathione, for almost a decade. She used to take these injections empty stomach in the morning, which potentially resulted in a drop in her blood pressure and caused a fatal cardiac arrest. The reports have also revealed an alarming truth that on the day of her death, Shefali had been fasting due to a religious reason at her home, despite this, she took the injection, which was an anti-ageing medicine.

She had taken it in the afternoon; this was a ritual for her, post it was described as a part of her treatment years ago. The exact reason for her death is yet to be found, but the initial investigations have indicated a possible cardiac arrest that was prompted by unsupervised medication or treatment.

The authorities in charge of investigations are now observing the substances that are present in the IV drip and other parallel medications that she had been on single the longest time. However, the confirmed reason through the postmortem report is yet to be found.
