When Shamita Shetty posted her latest fitspiration video on July 28, 2025, she gifted her fans an exciting new way to build strength through dynamic partner workouts. Moving beyond solo gym sessions, Shamita teamed up with her instructor, Aman, to deliver a fun, trust-based, and strength challenging routine that’s perfect for duos wanting to bring energy and fresh motivation to their fitness journey.
In the video, Shamita supports Aman by hooking his feet into her shoulders while in a high plank position. Attempting to lift her hands off the ground, she suspends with only Aman’s support. The challenge didn’t go entirely as planned, her instructor laughs as she admits her “tiny feet could not grip those giant shoulders”! Her candid humility and effort highlight the importance of strength, balance, and trust when working with a partner.
Captioning the post, she wrote, “Partner challenge! Trust plays a big hand when it comes to partner workouts/challenges, along with strength, of course. This time around, I trusted, but my tiny feet could not grip those giant shoulders. Swipe to see my version!”

5 Partner Exercises for an Intense Full-Body Workout
Partner Medicine Ball Slams
This punchy exercise develops explosive strength and gives you a solid core and muscles in the shoulders and legs. Stay a few feet from each other and alternately hit the medicine ball as hard as you can and hand it to your partner. The constant movement keeps your heart rate high, and you work several muscle categories, and thus, it’s a worthy full-body burner with a competitive advantage.
Wheelbarrow Push-Ups with Squats
One of the partners is in a wheelbarrow position, supporting the body of the other partner with ankles as the partner does push-ups. The partner standing will do a squat after every push-up. This exercise tests the upper-body strength, core stability, and leg endurance at the same time. It also develops team unity and coordination, as both the partners will remain busy throughout the set.
Partner Russian Twists with Pass
Both partners sit back-to-back and turn to a certain side to hand over a weighted ball or a dumbbell. This is a core-focused movement that will give you oblique, abdominal, and spinal rotation. The movement that is a pass throughout gives it an element of cardio and the tension in your upper region. It is really a good partner exercise to gain intensity and speed.
Resistance Band Sprints
Take a resistance band and put it around the waist of one partner while the other person grips each end tightly. The front partner performs the jogging in one spot or forward against the opposition to involve glutes, quads, and hamstrings at the same time, raising up cardiovascular stamina. And after 30-60 seconds, reverse roles. This exercise is similar to the training of a sprint but is also perfect to develop power and acceleration.
Partner Plank High-Fives
Position yourself about a foot apart in a high plank face-to-face with your partner. At the same time, raise one hand to high-five alternate sides. The move combines core, chest, shoulder, and arm strength with balance coordination testing. The communication makes it more enjoyable and encourages the person to go through exhaustion.
