Salman Khan Health Issue:Salman Khan is once again making headlines, but this time, it’s not for a blockbuster film or a TV show. On a recent episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, Salman Khan shocked fans by revealing his battle with a brain aneurysm, a condition that can become life-threatening if not treated on time.

But that’s not all. Salman Khan also shared that he has been dealing with trigeminal neuralgia, often called the “suicide disease” because of the intense, stabbing pain it causes in the face. The condition is rare but severely impacts quality of life.

So, what exactly is a brain aneurysm?
A brain aneurysm occurs when a weak spot in the blood vessels of the brain starts to balloon out, like a bulge in a tire. If that bulge bursts, it can lead to a hemorrhagic stroke, brain damage, or even death. Common symptoms before rupture include sudden headaches, vision changes, or neck pain, but sometimes, there are no warnings at all.

If a brain aneurysm ruptures, it causes bleeding in the brain, leading to confusion, nausea, seizures, or loss of consciousness. Even if it doesn’t rupture, the pressure it creates can still affect daily life with headaches or visual disturbances.

Treatment often involves surgery either clipping or coiling the aneurysm or newer, minimally invasive techniques. Early diagnosis is absolutely critical, which is why regular check-ups and brain scans can be lifesaving.

During his conversation, Salman Khan also mentioned arteriovenous malformation (AVM), another serious condition where arteries and veins in the brain are tangled, disrupting normal blood flow.

And what about trigeminal neuralgia? This condition is marked by sharp, electric-shock-like pain in parts of the face, often triggered by the simplest actions like brushing teeth or even speaking.

While both brain aneurysms and trigeminal neuralgia are rare, awareness is the first step. Salman Khan’s revelation has brought these hidden conditions into the public eye, reminding us all that even superstars have silent battles and early diagnosis can truly save lives.
