The Punjab government has taken notice of the situation and issued a high alert, including changing school start times across the province to 8:35 a.m. Meanwhile, in response to the problem, the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has initiated a large-scale anti-smog operation, sending 16 machine washers, 50 ordinary washers, and 400 personnel to clean roads and sprinkle water.
