Ozzy Osbourne Doc Pulled From BBC Schedule Hours Before Broadcast

A documentary about Ozzy Osbourne set to air on BBC One Monday night has been pulled from the broadcaster’s schedule and postponed.

“The film has moved in the schedules and we’ll confirm new tx details in due course,” a BBC spokesperson told Variety.

Titled “Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home,” the doc was filmed over the past three years and was meant to be a “moving and inspirational account” of the legendary rocker’s last chapter, according to BBC News. Produced by Expectation TV, the doc includes interviews with Osbourne as well as his wife Sharon and children Jack and Kelly, and also detailed his journey to moving back to the U.K.

“This intimate film follows the final three years of Ozzy Osbourne’s life as he and Sharon plan a return home after 25 years in L.A. and prepare for the ultimate farewell gig,” the doc’s official synopsis reads.

Expectation TV did not immediately respond to Variety‘s request for comment.

Osbourne died on July 22 at the age of 76, just 17 days after playing his final concert in his hometown of Birmingham. Called “Back to the Beginning,” the all-day event included performances by Osbourne and Black Sabbath as well as tributes from Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, Tool, Pantera, Alice in Chains and more. Due to his previous spinal injuries and Parkinson’s disease, Osbourne remained seated for the event but otherwise appeared in good health. His cause of death was later revealed to have been a heart attack.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” the family said in a statement announcing his death. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”
