Cyclone Montha Live Updates: Cyclone Montha is expected to cross the Andhra Pradesh coast between Machilipatnam and Kalingapatnam around Kakinada during Tuesday evening or night as a severe cyclonic storm. The cyclone was located about 560 km off Visakhapatnam as of Monday evening.
Cyclone Montha LIVE Updates: Cyclone Montha has intensified into a ‘severe cyclonic storm’ on Tuesday morning as coastal parts of Andhra Pradesh brace for landfall later today. Taking cognizance of the weather situation, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red alert in several parts.
Meanwhile, heavy rains lashed parts of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Tamil Nadu on Tuesday morning. Authorities have also stated that train services in Odisha have been put on hold, while Andhra Pradesh’s Gannavaram airport on Monday announced cancellation of at least 30 flights in view of the cyclone.
