Cause Of Death: Doug Martin
At the time of the announcement, the cause of death of the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back and two-time Pro Bowler had not been disclosed. Dough Martin’s family further requested privacy stating, “Cause of death is currently unconfirmed. Please respect our privacy at this time.”

Remembering Martin, the Buccaneers wrote on their social media handle, “We are deeply saddened to learn of the sudden and unexpected passing of Doug Martin. From his record-setting rookie season in 2012 to his multiple Pro Bowl selections during his six seasons as a Buccaneer, Doug made a lasting impact on our franchise.”
They added, “He was a fan favourite during his time in Tampa Bay and was honoured as one of the Top 50 Buccaneers of all time for his numerous achievements. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and everyone whom Doug touched throughout his life.”

Who Is Doug Martin?
Dough Martin is known for his powerful runs and humble nat ure that made him stand out from his generation. He played in the NFL for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Las Vegas Raiders (previously known as Oakland Raiders) between 2012 to 2017. He was chosen for the running back position by the Buccaneers in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft. Earlier in his life, Martin attended Boise State University from 2007 to 2011, where he played for the Boise State Broncos.
