Roshni Devi’s Popular Vegetarian Protein Diet

Talking about lunch, the 70-year-old weight lifter was reported saying that, especially in the summer, she consumes a little bit of rice, dal, salad, and curd. To keep herself full in the evening, Roshni Devi prepares 1 moong dal chilla using soaked moong, paneer, and a little bit of green chilli. Followed by a glass of milk. She says, “I eat this. I don’t eat anything else.”

Signs and Symptoms Of Arthritis

According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), some of the common signs and symptoms of arthritis include: pain, swelling, loss of function, stiffness, deformity, weakness, and instability. And sometimes accompanied by fatigue, sleep disturbance, emotional liability and symptoms of the underlying systemic illness.

“Pain from arthritis is usually worse with activities and at the end of the day. Inflammatory arthritis will also cause pain in the morning and at rest that may initially improve with activity, but subsequently worsen with prolonged use and activity,” NIH explains.

“Patients with fibromyalgia and myofascial pain syndrome usually complain of a diffuse all-over pain. Neuropathic pain can be accompanied by paraesthesias in the nerve distribution. Morning stiffness lasting more than 45 minutes is typically associated with inflammatory arthritis, but this is non-specific as patients with osteoarthritis or non-articular syndromes such as fibromyalgia can also have prolonged morning stiffness.”

How To Treat Arthritis?

Non-pharmacologic treatments for arthritis include specific exercises, physical therapy, bracing, acupuncture, and weight reduction. If you are looking for options that can cure your arthritis through pharmacologic management, NIH encourages you to use topical and oral medications.
